Chemical-free cleaning is possible. Let us all admit that cleaning can be tedious without the use of special cleaning agents and cleaning products. For commercial cleaners like ourselves, we all know different cleaning tips that can make life easier. Let us talk about 10 awesome tricks for cleaning that is made possible without the chemicals involved.

All you need to have is resourcefulness and common sense to make it a success. Cleaning products can be substituted with so many household things that are free of toxic chemicals. This is the next big thing to green cleaning if you know what I mean.

How Do You Clean Without Chemicals?

There is a way to clean an office or a home with so many household products available in the grocery store like vinegar and baking soda. These products have proven that they can get rid of dirt and grime as effective as the commercial made cleaning agents. I will share with you our helpful cleaning tips on how we do it.

Cleaning Hacks for Baking Soda

You will be surprised to find out how many things you could clean using this excellent box of white powder that sits under your home kitchen counter or in your fridge. Baking soda is a type of salt that is made by mixing two very safe and naturally occurring compounds which are sodium carbonate and carbon dioxide. It is a versatile agent that can be used for both cooking, cleaning, and personal hygiene.

Abrasive

You can scrub your walls with it. It is one effective way to get rid of stubborn marks from walls and surfaces. Prepare a paste of baking soda and water and look for any scuff marks in your office and home. Gently rub it in and wipe away to see that the marks are gone. It is one effective way of adding abrasion to any cleaning solution. It is one of the tricks in cleaning your home without harmful and strong chemicals.

Declogger

Clean and unclog the smelliest sink. When you combine baking soda with vinegar, it can work magic. This is one of the useful tricks in cleaning your home and office sink and kitchen. You can clean almost anything with this combination. Add a cup of baking soda to the drain and let it sit for an hour. After that, boil two cups of plain white vinegar and dump it down the drain. Run hot water, and it will get rid of the smell. As promised, cleaning your home without chemicals is possible.

Grout Cleaner

Clean your kitchen and toilet grout. Sprinkle the baking soda on the grout line, and then spray it with water. Scrub the grout using your cleaning tool.

Carpet Deodorizer

It can also work as a home or office carpet deodorizer. Carpets absorb dust, dirt, and debris that can, later on, create a nasty smell. Get a baking soda and sprinkle it over the carpet, and let it sit for 30 minutes. Vacuum it up, and your office room will be deodorized.

Cleaning Tricks Using Vinegar

Here is the list that we put together exciting ways on how you can use the vinegar in office cleaning.

Declogger

Is your sink clogged? Grab a vinegar and add half a cup of baking soda. Pour the mixture down the drain. Wash it out with hot water once it is done foaming.

Sticker Remover

Spray vinegar and saturate the affected surface for a sticker or tape residue on the wall. Let it sit for a minute, and you can scrub away very quickly, leaving the wall clean and clear of sticky residues.

Deodorizer

You can also use the mixture as a deodorizer. Pour a mixture of vinegar and water onto a sponge and let it soak up. Place this at the bottom of a smelly rubbish bin and let it sit overnight. The awful smell will be gone when you remove it the next day.

All-purpose cleaner

Make your all-purpose cleaner. Get a spray bottle and fill it 1/3 vinegar and the rest with water. Add a few drops of dish soap. The solution is an effective cleaner for the kitchen and bathroom.

Insecticide

Apple cider is effective in getting rid of flies if the kitchen is infested with it. Pour the apple cider in a small bowl and cover it with a cling wrap, then poke a few holes.

Glass Cleaner

You can also use this as an effective glass cleaner. Put an ample amount in a spray bottle and add water. Spray your way to the glasses. It will help remove all the dirt, smudges, and stains, leaving your glasses crystal clear and shiny.

Let Us Talk About Organic Cleaning!

Eco-friendly cleaning is divided into two categories – eco-friendly cleaning tools and the actual cleaning products. One of the benefits of cleaning naturally is you are not exposing your health to hazardous chemicals. It is also less dangerous and less toxic.

To save money, keep your cleaning products as basic as possible. Organic cleaning supplies are incredibly important to preserve nature. It is not unusual anymore, and everybody is doing it and expects it. This is becoming an industry standard.

Using organic solutions and supplies are recyclable and kind to the Earth. They are also safe for pets and children. It is going to improve and increase the longevity of your life span and your lungs if you are using non-toxic products. Water is the safest agent.

Although organic supplies and products cannot be used as an all-purpose cleaner, you cannot use this product if you are to clean a neglected office as it requires more potent chemicals. Baking soda and vinegar will not do the job. Non-toxic cleaning supplies are best for routine or maintenance jobs. They are not designed for deep clean.
Everybody needs to be using organic products. A lot of these are very inexpensive. You can mix your cleaner, depending on your purpose and choice.

We recommend that you set up your tiny mixing station with all your organic cleaner and tools. You can mix a big gallon of your DIY cleaner and bring it as you go through your day, and refill it when you are done. It is super easy, and the mixture is consistent every single time.

If you are diluting your cleaning solution, you have to follow the notes as the manufacturer’s label instructed it. You cannot guess which product needs to go with a different outcome as it may affect the quality of your cleaning. If you follow the instructions and hire someone new to do the job, you can pass the excellent habit of mixing the product to that person. This person can follow the instructions and get the same results.

As a cleaner, you need to make sure that you are also taking care of yourself. Using organic products and not just relying on cleaning chemicals can ensure you long life and a safer work environment. Imagine that you are doing this job for many years and you will be exposed to toxic chemicals.

How do you feel about it? The harmful fumes of these chemicals will intoxicate your lungs. You will not last very long in this business. We have seen professional cleaners who were rushed to the emergency room because of being in contact with harmful chemicals.

Rule of thumb, if you cannot help but use a more potent chemical, you need to make sure that you are using the appropriate protective equipment to protect yourself. So that is my two cents for the day. I was hoping you could share your chemical-free cleaning techniques and let us help the world recover. You can also drop us a comment below and share with us your eco-friendly ways of cleaning. See you next time.
