Reception Staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. Nilam Food & Beverage Manager is very obliging, friendly and efficient and we had a great breakfast cooked to perfection. He also offered us bottled water for our travel home. Room was very clean, tidy and comfortable. Location was great and we would definitely stay again next time we are down in Sydney.🙂👍

I really enjoyed my stay. I got a room upgrade to a room with a spectacular view over Hyde Park, Wooloomooloo, the Opera house and the Harbour bridge. The room was very clean. My request for a late check out at short notice was accommodated straight away. I worked for most of the time I stayed there and the internet was great. The hotel is in a convenient location to restaurants and the train.

We booked the room on the very last minute because we were to tired to drive back to Canberra. The front desk served us with the highest quality. The overall hotel was very clean and spotless. The bedroom was very comfortable, clean and quiet. Will probably stay here again when we come to Sydney.

What a treat. Comfortable very clean rooms. Staff were excellent they and always had a smile. The food was to die for, plus the wine list was very good, everything was really way better than was expected. We will go back for romantic dirty weekends

Great stay! Very convenient with the Sydney Brewery next door that has happy hour from 4 – 6pm each day with $5 schooners and wine and they also have $10 cocktails between 7 – 9pm each day. They need to ditch the buffet breakfast in these Covid times though. Ordering fresh would be much better.

I experienced terrible service by an Asian guy working on Saturday (6/11) at 7.48pm. When I rang the bell he was eating and came out of his room with rude attitude. I just wanted to extend my room 1 more night. He gruffly answered me and seem like he didn’t want to book for me. I was unhappy and said Don’t worry I will book it tomorrow morning. He held me back and booked for me then said pay tomorrow. Please consider your service if you want to improve. Overall, all staffs were useful and friendly except him. I would like to rate 3 stars.

Great views. Nice part of town. Very good value for money. Pay the little bit extra for the harbour view. It’s worth it ! Rooms are comfortable and more than adequate. I was expecting smaller for this price and location. Highly recommended

Stayed for 2 weeks in a harbour view room while my husband was in hospital. Could not fault anything. Wonderful staff. Rooms had everything you could need – comfortable beds, kitchenette with everything you could need, spotlessly clean with daily room service. Coming from a small country town I felt very safe with 24 hour reception. So convenient to public transport and shopping with Woolworths across the road. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I will be back. 😊

Was probably once a great Apartment Hotel but it is now a little run down and dated. I must say we had a good sized open apartment with a double and two single beds that overlooked a pleasant view of the city. A good sized bathroom/laundry combo and loved the shower – good flow and hot! The kitchenette was small and could have done with a new bar fridge. The ice compartment was frozen over and the seal was not working properly. Overall, not flash but quite comfortable; warm and very good beds. Being so close to the Botanical Gardens is a great advantage. Very pleasant gentleman at reception when I was there. It

Really pleased with our stay here. Not a 5 star hotel but a great clean apartment with lots of room and in a great location. So many restaurants near by and only a short walk to central station. The pool looked huge and clean but we didn’t have time to use it or the spa. There is a sauna but it is currently closed due to covid restrictions. No breakfast at the hotel that I saw but that didn’t matter, there are loads of cafes right at your doorstep. If you’re looking for a great Cafe check out Le Monde.. amazing food and great coffee (not open on Sundays)

NEVER STAY HERE. I was charged $239 for one night and I was given a renovated room that smelt very strongly of paint. Then I was given a much worse room that felt like a room in an mental institution and I was told it was the best room. Only an overhead light and the bed rolled around on the floor. It was so noisy from the traffic on the street I left and slept in my car and was refused a refund. To the owner who replied, my stay was in 2015. The $239 was through Agoda, I have the reciept, and THERE IS A PHOTO OF THE ROOM IN THE REVIEW, why are you pretending I didn’t stay?

Stayed here 2 nights 3 days when I flew to Sydney to see Hamilton! I came here not expecting much from the reviews but it was cheap and I’m a college kid so I wanted to save money and the rooms on the website looked nice… and they were! It looked exactly like the photos on the website. What a deal for such a price. I had an amazing view of the Sydney Harbour bridge and opera house from my window, which was super unexpected! A lovely ensuite bathroom with a hot shower, a nice sofa, flat screen TV and big comfy double bed. The air conditioner kept the room cool and comfortable through the heat of summer. All of the staff, from the cleaners to the receptionists were incredibly friendly and helpful at all hours and tended to all my needs and requests, they really made the experience lovely. Even without asking our towels were replaced with fresh ones and the bed made every time we returned from the city. The location is also brilliant – right in the heart of Darlinghurst. This is the best hotel deal I’ve ever gotten. 100% would stay again!

I really wanted to love this hotel, but unfortunately found it dated and less enjoyable than expected. If you are staying, all of the photos seem to show the premium upgraded queen room – it turns out the standard room is much smaller and has 2 twin beds. While the room was clean, the pool inside the building was very dirty and made the halls smell strongly of chlorine. In addition, no adapters are provided or available for loan – you must purchase for $20. We did love the location but probably would not be back for another stay.

We are currently staying at the Pullman Hyde Park as part of mandatory quarantine. We are in the park view room and the view of Sydney is stunning. The room is lovely with king size bed, comfortable sofa, working desk and plush carpet. The service has been great and we have been very impressed with the quality and diversity of food. Today we ordered coffee which both had loverly messages written on the lids. The small things really matter. So thank you Pullman staff 🙂

Great location. Friendly, helpful staff. Cool amenities, culture & community.

As it is a backpackers, Yha isn’t the cleanest or fanciest of places to stay. Rooms are small & simple with obvious signs of usage over the years. A certain unpleasant smell wafts through the hallway on level 8. The bathrooms are not the cleanest.

Overall good place to stay – for price & location!
Roftop pool and cinema is a cool bonus

There is a huge difference between a private room with shared bath, and a private room with ensuite (which comes with electric kettle and TV). Kitchen is not so well equipped — you may want to bring your cutting knife, pots & pans if you are planning to cook meals. Overall, very nice staff and comfortable stay.

Stayed there this weekend, rooms are ok but on the smaller side considering the price but they were clean and presentable. View wasn’t exciting for a suite. The pool is the tiniest and slimmest rooftop pool I have ever seen with about 4 pairs of pool chairs. I think about 5 adults can fit in the pool. The photos of the roof top pool are so MISLEADING so if you are going just for the pool, you WILL be disappointed.

Not really a four star hotel. However for the money they charge it gets three stars. The service from reception is very good. They are very helpful. The rooms are okay and comfortable the bathrooms need a good bleaching. It is a very good location. It’s okay for an over night stay. I only stayed in a standard room. Paid $250 a night at reasonable occupancy & was expecting a lot more from this hotel. The main issue leading me to leave this review is bed bugs – my partner woke up itching and scratching every morning. Bites didn’t subside for days. Our room had a Japanese wall screen type thing which let a lot of light in each morning, disturbing our sleep. Would suggest looking elsewhere if you’re willing to spend money.
