We are just leaving today after staying here for our wedding night and I can’t speak more highly of this hotel! The staff were so kind and accommodating and blessed us with some champagne and a cheese platter to celebrate. The king Harbourview suite was really large and the views are incredible! We were so happy that we came here – really beautiful.

Dear Pier One Sydney

I would like to give a BIG thank you to your staff. Recently I stayed with you, my first stay at a Marriot and I joined as a member. The service was very welcoming and my husband and I and our two little dogs were taken care of exceptionally. A shout out to the wait staff and particularly Chelsee from the Front Office who made the celebration of our 47th wedding anniversary very special. The room was lovely and very convenient on the ground floor walking straight out onto the pier and your lounge area. Will come and stay again. We had a wonderful time.

Magnificent place to stay in the heart of The Rocks district. Short walk to Circular Quay. Fabulous choice of places to eat and catch some live music. Markets galore and a host of bars to have a drink. Great service on this historic hotel. Highly recommend

This was an amazing place to stay in. The staff were super friendly and genuinely cared. They also did charge the earth to care. They made our anniversary/birthday stay very warm, welcoming and enjoyable. It’s a smaller hotel central to everywhere. Has a terrace area over looking the lane but the roof is not accessible unless you stay in the Penthouse. It’s a short walk from Circular Que. surrounded by great restaurants and over the road is an Ezy Mart just across the road. Definitely worth staying at if you’re looking for a great place in The Rocks.

Wow. What a find. Excellent accommodation in an excellent location. You can get ensuite rooms. Be sure to visit the top floor outside lounge area that overlooks the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. Brilliant communal kitchen area too. Also has a cafe onsite. The area, The Rocks is full of eateries and shops. We walked from The Sydney Lyric Theatre to the YHA after a show. About 1.5 to 2.0km, 11:00pm. Felt very safe. Excellent stroll, got to see Darling Harbour and the city on the way.

Treated ourselves to a harbour view room for our anniversary – it was STUNNING

Beautiful room with the softest pillows and comfy bed. But I spent so much time on the window seat looking at the view 😍

In house dining was great, staff super helpful.

The small issue I had they fixed quickly and were very apologetic.

Beautiful stay, had absolutely no disturbance, room was clean and we got the service that we asked for. This is my go too hotel for staying in the city, breathtaking views and open rooms. even when balling on a budget, you really get your moneys worth. Not to mention the pool absolutely fantastic. Staff are so lovely and helpful. It’s close by everything and has such a convenience. There wasn’t any pressure to leave quickly like most other hotels give you. Customer service has truly shined here, the staff care so much about your Comfort and stay, was leaving with a smile on my face.

Att: The Manager
Last weekend, the 1st May 2021 my family stayed at your Hotel, Sebel Quay West Suites, The Rocks.

I would like to give you some general feedback.

Your Hotel is beautifully located, well within walking distance of everything people would want out of Sydney, shops, food, activities, tourism. The lobby is sensationally presented and very up market. The rooms are spacious and have views of the Harbour and surrounds that are absolutely beautiful. Albeit the rooms could do with some updating and maybe have the old silicon replaced in the bathroom to remove some mould. In saying that, It’s only a minor issue.

Parking was a breeze, it was in a safe location, off the main streets which made everything easy.

The main reason for my contact is to tell you that your staff are a credit to your Hotel. Everyone we engaged with were professional, polite, informative and so well presented. Their engagement with visitors was superb, making my family feel welcome and appreciated. I would stay at your Hotel based only your staff’s professionalism alone.

I would like you to pass on my families thanks to the staff that worked over the period of my stay, they were excellent.

If there was a 6th star I would give it. Couldn’t speak highly enough about the quality of service to hotel facilities this hotel had it all. I have been lucky enough to stay in some of the best 5 star hotels from Singapore, London and New York and this hotel is the top of the class. A special call out Dinning Hall for providing excellent food and the hotel staff for providing excellent service.

My husband and I booked a night away and were really looking forward to having a great night away from the kids for our anniversary. Unfortunately our room had two spotlights, adjacent to our bed, that would not stop flashing the entire night when the room was pitch black dark. It turned into one our worst sleeps unfortunately and not worth the money we paid. Told reception on check out, as well as showing him footage, and all we got was “sorry” aka tough luck. Didn’t except such a cold and non hospitable response while handing over the bill. Definitely won’t be running back to the Park Hyatt. There are much better hotels in the city that care and treat their customers with better service.

Staff were terrible! Had the cleaner open the door and let herself in, without knocking, we were still in bed, so she asked if she could just clean the bathroom! Then another staff member also just unlocked the door and opened it to leave breakfast menu for next day. The bar and restaurant was closed completely during our stay. Then on morning 2, we were woken at 6 am by the fire alarm telling us the evacuate. We were eventually let back in an hour later. On checkout no mention, apologies or remuneration offered for inconvenience. Found the staff to just not care… at all… this has been my favourite hotel in the city for about 12 years…. Sadly I would no longer recommend to stay here.

The Langham Sydney Team are professional in every department. My and my family stayed one night for my birthday. The team had prepared the room with sincerity, making it a wonderful surprise even for the kids! During our stay we had a bit of a medical drama and the team including the Duty Manager had been very caring and assisted in every way they could! They even got the team to do a “Get Well Soon” card and gave the signature Langham teddy bear to my children upon departure. I will definitely recommend using their Service Stylist option as they surely know how to delight your day and stay!

Not worthy of a 5 star hotel, before even getting in the room the door key didn’t work twice and had to go back to reception each time only to find out that they knew the lock was faulty, they ended up sending someone up to open the door for us and we had to pick up the new key after dinner. There was no milk provided and when they sent some up the coffee machine milk warmer was broken! At approximately midnight the night manager knocked on and opened our door with out permission and left with out saying anything, scaring my wife as she was in the shower and I was outside. I asked for the morning newspaper which wasn’t provided and we weren’t given complimentary bottled water which should be given to Accor members with the level membership status we have.

Positive note is they provided us a complimentary bottle of brut because it was our wedding anniversary and whilst we were dining at Q restaurant we were given 2 glasses of sparkling white which was nice, the restaurant staff were attentive but because of the problems to begin with it did sour the experience slightly. The views were great over Circular Quay & Sydney harbour but we won’t be going back

Omg The building a suuuuper old like sooo old & the floorboards are sooooo creaky you can hear everybody having showers flushing toilets moving walking breathing it was impossible to sleep! Deffinately wouldn’t stay again Sleep is important & thats all we had booked it for. Deffinately wasted my money. Its like basic basic basic & old. Also the lights are all left on in the halls which lights up the bedroom as if the noise wasnt bad enough.

The staff at Shangri-La were all friendly and helpful, and of course the view from my room was spectacular. Overall I really enjoyed my stay! Will definitely book a room here again in the future.

I wanted to give five starts but, unfortunately, there were two issues with my room. When I arrived the inside of the windows were dirty, but the concierge was prompt at arranging for them to be cleaned and after that they were spotless.

There was also a strange wet patch on the carpet in the corner of my room. Regardless of this, I still had a pleasant and comfortable stay. When I let the team know about the wet patch they were quickly on the case with their maintenance team. Thus, I am 100% confident that any future guest will enjoy a five star stay.

Definitely a worthwhile and a must have experience.

Not good at all!

My mum and I stayed here over a year ago and it was disgraceful. Righto so when we arrived at our hotel we couldn’t settle into our room because our room had a major leak so the owners were busy cleaning it so we left our luggage behind and went to the piers at Circular Quay, we came back and eventually settled into our room we had a bit of a look around and it was disappointing there was a bed in the kitchen, the bathroom light wasn’t working, the room at the very back of our hotel room had a door leading outside that wouldn’t lock and we had a little seating area outside and a gate leading outside the gate door also wouldn’t lock so we could’ve gotten broken into with no trouble at all and there was also a mini fridge in the very back of the room and it was broken and leaking so when I told the owners they said it was supposed to do that. Breakfast, at breakfast the toaster wasn’t working properly had to toast the bread about 5 times to become actual toast really the only thing that was good at breakfast was the orange juice but that was just drinkable. So glad we got to leave the next day onto the cruise ship, we spoke to some over the people who also stayed at the hotel the same day as us and they also had a horrible experience and they aren’t even from Australia. Very poor experience never again 😔

I booked on terms that explicitly stated that cancellation was free of charge. Payment was taken after booking, which was expected. I then had to cancel the booking due to Covid-19 preventing me from travelling to Australia. I cancelled using the booking platform I used to make the booking. I received no refund. The hotel did not answer the phone or reply to my subsequent emails and messages sent using through the booking platform. Eventually, the booking platform reached out to the B&B but got no reply. I have since been refunded by the booking platform (who clearly value good customer service and honouring agreements stated on their own platform and, I assume, will invoice the B&B themselves in due course) but it’s disgraceful for an establishment to put their fingers in their ears and refuse to acknowledge or reply to emails from customers. I would have been sympathetic to a response saying they couldn’t honour a refund due to the pandemic, but in the absence of any communication at all I am glad I pursued and got my refund. If you book here, I could advise you do so only on the condition that payment is made upon arrival. I really felt like my money was pocketed and made off with.
